These midi files were recorded on a midi keyboard by J. R. Thompson and used for
recording an album of American Folk Songs. In the time period of 1920 to 1940 before
the time of television and even before radio was widely available much time was spent
by many families in singing folk songs. Most of the songs contained herein were taught
to me by my daddy when I was a child. These midi files preserve part of the family
heritage of that generation. In a few years, these songs may no longer be remembered.
